See how to get reservations to tour the Deseret Peak Utah Temple. The public open house will run from Thursday, Sept. 26, to Saturday, Oct. 19, excluding Sundays and Saturday, Oct. 5.

Rescheduling of Casper Wyoming Temple dedication date from Oct. 13 to Nov. 24 means Deseret Peak Utah Temple now projected to be Church’s 200th.

The Church has released interior and exterior images of the new house of the Lord, as well as updates on its dedication date and single session.

The Church's second set of 20 operating temples — from Atlanta and Dallas to Mexico City and Sydney — came in the mid-1980s and included the first temple behind the Iron Curtain and the first on the African continent.

With the Aug. 17 groundbreakings for the Austin Texas, Londrina Brazil and Santiago West Chile temples, has the Church done three on the same day before?

Elder Michael A. Dunn presided at the Aug. 17 groundbreaking ceremony for the Austin Texas Temple — the seventh house of the Lord in the Lone Star State.

Brazil state’s second temple made possible by “the effort, faith and patience of many,” said Elder Ciro Schmeil at the groundbreaking.

The two are five houses of the Lord that are being opened to the media and public from Aug. 12 through Sept. 9.

Ground was broken for the Santiago West Chile Temple on Saturday, Aug. 17, with Elder Alan R. Walker, a General Authority Seventy, presiding.

To be Church’s 200th operating house of the Lord after its Oct. 20 dedication, the new temple is one of 23 total in Brazil.
